We wanted to create a casual place with an emphasis on simple, delicious Italian food, drawing inspiration from all the regions of Italy. If you’re looking for “high-tech” food, you will not find it here. The best description is “comfort food.” When you dine at Café Fontana you “feel good” eating our food and drinking great wine! Place your order and have a seat and we will bring your food to you, or you can request a server at your table. Café Fontana is the best Italian food restaurant in Pontiac Illinois. Our vibrant cuisine mirrors perfectly the passions, style, and gusto that mark Italian recipes and the Italian way of life! The recipes are our own, but we strive to keep our dishes authentically Italian.

The day starts early as our sauce is prepared from scratch and our pasta is cooked fresh daily. Our menu offers a wide variety of salads, sandwiches, paninis, Neapolitan pizzas, pasta and Italian beef. Entrees include baby back ribs, Marsala boneless pork chops, potato crusted Icelandic cod, fillet Mignon and New York strip steak. Homemade soup is also served each day.  Prime choice meats and fish arrive daily. The Roman style thin crust pizza is made with fresh mozzarella, kept under water until right before it hits the house made dough.

Only the best quality ingredients are allowed in our kitchens. We are also famous for our Salads! We make our very own in house “Gelato“. Gelato is an Italian Ice Cream. Simply put, gelato is a much healthier and tastier version of ice cream. It is made with real milk – not cream, making it 50% less fat than regular ice cream. We also make Sorbetto. Sorbetto is like gelato but it has no dairy at all making it virtually fat free!

Bring the whole family in! We also have a children’s menu with a free soda included! We have a huge selection of beverages which includes blended iced coffee, smoothies, Domestic beer, and  imported - domestic Wines.
